The engineering underneath Emerson Cobras and Supercars begins with understanding how each client expects to drive their car. Each is bespoke, and therefore unique to the owner. Even the seats are crafted around your unique body. Will this be a daily driver? A track racer? A mix of both?
Once the operating environment is understood, we quite literally begin the calculations from the ground up, starting with the frictional complexities of the surfaces our clients intend to drive on. This is followed by selection of the rarified tires that will give the proper rubber friction, dimensions, and contact-patch with that surface, in relation to the driving dynamics of their owner and the projected weight and geometry of the vehicle.
After determining that vehicle-surface interface, we calculate literally hundreds of variables in the engineering of the chassis, suspension, and power train, all focused on one thing: keeping the rubber of your car grabbing the road.
"Imagine placing NASCAR and Forumula One technology underneath the body of a Cobra. That's what we do. All similarity to the originals ends at their iconic appearance."
